About Me and My Approach

“It is a privilege to see someone begin to recognise what is in their heart and start to understand what self-love can be and how that can impact the connections and relationships we have.”

I believe relationship and connection are powerful and impact our lives in many ways.

Taking that step to seek counselling can be a big deal. As a therapist, I value each person I work with as an individual and see it as a privilege for them to share their story with me. It is a privilege to walk alongside someone, supporting them as they explore their life and experiences.

At the heart of my counselling is a desire to nurture a relationship built on trust, always putting you at the centre.

My work as an integrative therapist enables me to adapt our work together, so that we move at a pace that suits you and move forward in a way that best suits your needs. In doing so, I draw on different counselling and psychotherapy practices, always putting you at the centre to ensure we are working in a way that you feel comfortable with.

I currently work across a variety of settings and age groups. I provide therapy for adults and young people in an agency setting as well as providing therapy for adults as part of Michelle McLeish Counselling. I have worked in the corporate world, in education settings and the charity sector.

My experience in various settings helps me maintain a diverse perspective on the challenges people face and my aim is that every person I work with feels heard and feels safe in the space we create together.
